When Alexander the Great began to conquer India, he spent time holding relaxed conversations with Indian philosophers and theorists. While debating a group of Jain philosophers on why they were not paying attention to such an important man, they replied
“Sir, you travel far and wide to conquer the world and try to own everything that is in your path. You are nothing but a nuisance to yourself and everyone around you. But in the end, everything that you will own is just as much of the earth as will suffice to bury you”.
